How quickly will my US order be processed & shipped?

Orders are processed pending item availability and payment approval. During high volume periods, product availability is subject to change while your order is being processed. Most orders placed Monday through Friday before 12PM EST will be processed and shipped that business day. Orders placed on Friday after 12PM EST or over the weekend will begin processing Monday. Your order may arrive in several shipments. You will receive a separate email notificaiton with unique tracking information for each shipment. 

Current processing and shipping time for ground orders is up to 14 days.

John Varvatos does not process or ship orders on Saturday, Sunday or federal holidays within the United States. We ship via UPS to addresses within the 50 US states, not including APO and PO Box addresses.

Please note that orders valued at over $1000 USD will require a signature upon delivery.

International orders are handled through our shipping partner, Borderfree, and adhere to a separate process and timeline. See below for more information on international orders.

 

How can I check the status of my order?

Once you have placed an order, you can check on its status by logging into your account on johnvarvatos.com and clicking “Order History” in the left-side menu. If you do not have an account, click on Track Order, where you’ll be asked for your order number and billing zip code. Your order number will arrive in your shipping confirmation email.

For international orders, you can login to your Borderfree account or visit www.borderfree.com/#/track and enter your order number and email address.

What are my international shipping options?

The following is a summary of shipping and delivery promises for international orders. You will be quoted a specific shipping quote and delivery promise at the time of checkout that is based on your selected destination country and the shipping methods available for the items in your shopping cart.

Shipping to Canada:

All orders 500 CAD and over are eligible for free standard shipping to Canada. Orders under 500 CAD are eligible for a flat shipping rate of 30 CAD on standard shipping to Canada. For expedited shipping, please see shipping quote at checkout.

Shipping to the UK:

All orders 400 GBP and over are eligible for free standard shipping to the UK. Orders under 400 GBP are eligible for a flat shipping rate of 25 GBP on standard shipping to the UK. For expedited shipping, please see shipping quote at checkout.

Shipping to destinations outside of the US, UK and Canada:

All orders 400 USD and over (converted to localized currency) are eligible for free standard shipping. For orders under 400 USD, you will receive a shipping quiote by service tier at checkout based on what is available for your shipping country.

How do I cancel my order?

In an effort to ship your order as quickly as possible, we cannot cancel an order once it is placed. We offer free returns should you need to return an item.

How can I retrieve my password?

When signed into your johnvarvatos.com account, click “Forgot Password” and enter the email address you used to create your account. You will receive an email with further instructions on changing your password.

Do I need an account to make an online purchase?

No. You may check out without an account at johnvarvatos.com. However, creating an account allows you to check the status of your orders as well as securely save your information, making future purchases fast and easy.

Which forms of payment does johnvarvatos.com accept?

We accept Visa, Master Card, American Express, Paypal and John Varvatos gift cards.

When will my credit card be charged?

Your credit card will be authorized for the full order amount, but not charged, at the time you submit your order. Please note that an authorization hold is not an actual charge and it is up to your credit card issuing bank as to when you will see the authorization hold drop off. Your card (or other form of payment such as PayPal) will be charged only after we have verified your card details, received credit authorization, and confirmed stock availability.

What if I have a problem with a John Varvatos product?

If you have questions or concerns about an item purchased at one of our boutique or outlet stores, please refer to our Store Locator page and contact the store directly.

How do I return my order?

All returns must be made with 14 days of purchase and be in its original condition, new, unworn and unaltered with all original tags attached.

Is there a sales tax on US orders?

Sales tax will be added to orders shipping to NY, NJ, NV, CA, FL, MA and TX. All taxes are charged based on the tax laws applicable to the location to which the order is being shipped or delivered. All taxes will be added to the order total at checkout.

How do I receive online promotions or special offers?

Join our mailing list by scrolling to the bottom of our homepage and entering your email to receive special offers, exclusive promotions and sales announcements. Coupon codes cannot be combined at checkout. 

What is the price adjustment policy?

Price adjustments are accepted within 14 days of the day you receive your order, on items purchased at full retail price. Items purchased on sale or with a promotional discount are not eligible for further price adjustment. Price adjustments do not apply to Black Friday or Cyber Monday promotions.

Can my order be delivered internationally?

Yes. We currently provide international shipping to over 100 countries and territories through our international shipping partner, Borderfree.

What are my international payment options?

Currently we support Visa, MasterCard, PayPal, American Express, JCB, and China UnionPay.

How will I know how much my international order will cost?

Add items to your cart and select “check out” to calculate the total in your preferred currency, including all shipping costs from our US warehouse, applicable duties, and taxes imposed in the destination country.

How is international shipping calculated?

International shipping is calculated based on a number of factors including the desired shipping speed, the quantity and weight of items purchased, and the destination country.

Will any additional costs be due upon receipt of my international order?

As long as you select to prepay duties and taxes on johnvarvatos.com, the order total presented at the time of checkout is the exact amount you’ll be billed, and there will be no additional costs due upon delivery.

What amount of duty/taxes are charged on international orders?

Duties (or customs tariffs) are set by the destination country customs authorities and determined based on a combination of the country of origin of the goods being purchased and the classification of that merchandise in accordance with a harmonized system adopted and used by the country it’s being delivered to. International taxes (such as Value Added Tax, or VAT) are set by the destination country. You will be able to view the guaranteed total amount of applicable duty and tax/VAT for your order during checkout.

I live in the United States. Can I ship an order internationally but pay in US dollars (USD)?

Yes. You can receive a guaranteed order total for an order that is shipping internationally, and then pay in USD using a US credit card. This also works if you’re an American traveling or living abroad.

When am I charged for an international order?

For most payments, your credit card will be authorized for the full order amount, but not charged, at the time you submit your order. Please note that an authorization hold is not an actual charge and it is up to your credit card issuing bank as to when you will see the authorization hold drop off.

Your card (or other form of payment such as PayPal) will be charged only after we have verified your card details and shipped your order. Please note that when utilizing alternative payment providers such as Alipay, iDEAL, and SOFORT Banking, your payment payment method is authorized and charged when the order is placed.

What will my credit card statement say when I make an international purchase?

For an international purchase, your credit card will be billed by Borderfree and your statement will read “BF*MERCHANT” where “BF” denotes the Borderfree network. Borderfree is our partner for international shipping.

Are there any items that cannot ship to my country because they are restricted?

If for some reason there are any items that cannot be exported from the United States or imported into your destination country selection, We will notify you during the checkout process if your item(s) are not eligible for international shipping.

Can I purchase or redeem international gift cards?

Unfortunately, we do not currently support the sale of gift cards to international customers or the redemption of gift cards for internationally shipped orders.

What is your return policy for international orders?

If for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase, please contact us at customercare@johnvarvatos.com or or call us at 800.780.5838. We are available 9am ET until 9pm ET Monday through Friday except federal holidays within the United States.

We will provide you with further instructions on where returns should be shipped and the amount you will be refunded. Refund amounts for returned items will be credited to you by our partner Borderfree in the same currency and using the same exchange rate as your original order.
