We are seeking a motivated individual to join our John Varvatos Client Services team to cultivate and develop a profitable client base, targeting private, athlete and VIP clients as well as stylists and designers in the television, movie and print business, who wardrobe for these industries. The Client Relations Associate will ensure client retention. They answer client questions, assess product or service problems and resolve issues in a variety of ways using their best judgment to ensure client satisfaction. They also identify sales opportunities for current and potential clients, and sell the product or service, or forward the information to a sales representative. They oversee and maintain operational components associated with the business to secure proper inventory control and reporting practices. Client service associates handle escalated complaints and attempting to resolve them is also part of their responsibilities. They also continue to maintain their assigned clients, by providing best possible service and maintaining their individual and departmental sales goal.  This role will report to the Director of VIP Client Relations & Studio Services with a dotted line reporting relationship to the General Manager.


Job Responsibilities

- Achieve sales, service and client development goals for Studio Services

- Proactively develop a consistent flow of new Studio business and growth opportunities in addition to maintaining existing client

- Source all trade publications, on-line resources and referrals for current and upcoming opportunities 

- Maintain consistent knowledge of fashion trends and merchandise assortment

- Cultivate strong business partnerships with Buying Team, IT, PR, Store Management, Stock - Supervisors and staff to drive the business and to serve as a role model of "Teamwork"

- Role-model outstanding service

- Consistently demonstrate a professional, polished, and knowledgeable manner

- Ensure that all accounts are maintained in good standing and any credit issues/concerns are resolved effectively and on a timely basis

We are seeking a motivated individual to join our Retail Management team.  The General Manager will be responsible for the overall management of the store location, overseeing staff, maintaining merchandise and providing exemplary customer service.  Other duties include achieving sales objectives, maintaining and achieving high operational standards, exceeding merchandising goals, building a highly motivated team, and furthering associates’ skills and clientele base.


Job Responsibilities

- Learning, referencing and applying product knowledge information to recommend, select, and obtain merchandise based on customers' needs.

- Proactively seeking opportunities to up sell and add-on additional merchandise, while enhancing the customer's experience, not overwhelming them.

- Establishing, meeting, and exceeding sales and performance goals

- Building lasting relationships with customers and expanding the client book

- Managing sales team by continually motivating staff to exceed sales and productivity goals while setting the store standard in fostering a positive, upbeat and energetic atmosphere

- Exceeding expectations in identifying store trends and communicating these trends to the buyer

- Connecting with customers and understanding their needs, such as documenting and communicating customer requests

- Accurately and efficiently facilitating and overseeing customer purchases and return transactions

- Watching for, recognizing, and handling loss prevention situations by displaying exemplary customer service

- Managing the daily operations of the store through monitoring and managing various levels of store staff

- Planning, identifying, communicating and delegating appropriate responsibilities and practices amongst the sales team

- Maintaining a knowledge of inventory, scheduling, setting sales goals, and training of sales associates

- Ensuring that store merchandising, windows, and visual displays are maintained and consistent with the brand image

- Maintaining clear, concise, and constructive communication lines open between sales team and corporate office.

- Seeking out top talent for the sales team through networking and recruiting

- Maintaining employee relations, problem solving, and acting as a leader to the sales team

- Maintain professional, positive work environment


Position Requirements

- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal

- Ability to analyze sales reports and data to determine business needs and develop strategies

- Know how to trouble shoot, problem solve, and work well under pressure

Education and Training

- HS Diploma Required; Associate’s/Bachelor’s degrees preferred


Experience

- Minimum 5 years’ experience in luxury retail store environment

- Minimum 2 years of luxury retail management

- Maintaining a positive, energetic, and upscale atmosphere reflective of the John Varvatos brand
