Of all the props we had....somehow I'm not surprised this was the one he ended up playing with.

"Tis the Season

I'll be down at The Bowery Mission this Friday afternoon to hand out gifts and meals while getting another opportunity to hear the uber talented and most charitable Alejandro Escovedo & David Pulkingham as they perform a few songs for the 80 tenants who would otherwise be hungry and alone this holiday season. To my New York City neighbors, I hope you will find it in your heart to donate hats, gloves, scarves, coats, non-perishable food and toiletries to The Bowery Mission, which serves New York’s hungry and homeless 365 days a year since 1879. It's an amazing residential recovery program. For those of you outside the city, I encourage you to spread a little peace this holiday season and donate to your local charity. One kind gesture can change a life.
Wishing you and your loved ones a happy and healthy holiday season.

Thursday Nite Live at 315 Bowery with Sons of Albion & The Madison Square Gardeners

It's always a coin toss when iconic musicians have children who go into the "family" business. As fans, we are usually highly critical yet curiously intrigued. Will they be any good? Will they have their "own" voice? If you weren't there for our First Thursday Nite Live show..you missed your opportunity to decide, as Robert Plant's son, Logan Plant performed with his band Sons of Albion. They gave 30 minutes of high powered music as well as a stage presence to rival his dad's.

Next up were The Madison Square Gardners. More comfortable on stage then off, these seemingly quiet guys come alive when in front of a crowd. They played a hefty set of songs, with both their "old" (how old can their songs be...they don't look a day over 25?) and some new tunes from their latest album Taste the Thunder.
