What I’m listening to now…..

Scott Morgan, Scott Morgan - Another gem from a true original. Scott makes Detroit proud.

Iggy and The Stooges, Raw Power - Down & dirty. Raw Power is "THE" seminal punk rock album of all time.

Jesse Malin & The St. Marks Social, Love it to Life - Jesse is one of the great American songwriters of our time. Love it to Life is his best album yet.

Peter Wolf, Midnight Souvenirs - The former J. Geils front man delivers another powerful album. Very cool, eclectic mix of songs.

Jimi Hendrix, Valleys of Neptune - The last studio recordings. It makes me miss Jimi even more.

Sweet Apple, Love and Desperation - J. Mascis from Dinosaur Jr.'s new group. Killer R 'n R!!
The Beatles, In Mono - All 13 albums in glorious mono. The best sounding Beatles release ever.

Peter Frampton, Thank you Mr. Churchill - Peter's back with a rockin' set that leaves you wanting more.

BoDeans, Mr. Sad Clown - Milwalkie's BoDeans deliver another great slice of Americana.

The Byrds, Untitled (Legacy Edition) - My favorite Byrds album. Expanded with additional live material. A must have.

JOHN,
Thanks for sponsoring the Mike Monroe gig, what a great night. I must admit I wasn’t really that aware of Mike’s new stuff and I only new a little of the Hanoi stuff but what a show that guy put on. If you weren’t a fan before you went in, you were when you left. The amount of energy that guy puts out is amazing, who splits their head open and keeps going as if it were part of the show. If that was one of the new “hip” bands there would have been an ambulance and a lawyer on the stage before the drummer could hit the next snare and there would’ve been 3 or 4 breaks so the guys could catch their breath. Mike Monroe went out there and put on a show that only a professional could do, hopefully some of the younger bands in the audience were taking notes. Thanks again for a great night, looking forward to the next show. BTW, good call on the BoDeans album, Stay, is one of those songs that you can’t get out of your head.

Love the Scott Morgan new cd! Had the pleasure of driving him in my jeep as he listened to it for the first time. The man is still just the best…. Thanks for posting him and I sent it over for him to see, oh and we love Iggy too!
